About this role
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans for children and adolescents. This role plays a critical part in supporting skill development, communication, and positive behavior across home, school, and clinical settings.
Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by the supervising BCBA
- Provide one-on-one and small group ABA therapy to children and adolescents
- Collect and record accurate data on client progress during sessions
- Assist with skill acquisition programs, including communication, social skills, self-help, and play skills
- Implement behavior reduction strategies using positive reinforcement techniques
- Collaborate with BCBAs, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members
- Communicate professionally with families regarding session goals and progress
- Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and company policies
- Attend required trainings, team meetings, and supervision sessions
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or developmental disabilities
- Ability to follow treatment plans and accept feedback from supervisors
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to engage and motivate children in a positive, supportive manner
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in ABA therapy, school, clinic, or home-based settings
- Bilingual skills a plus
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with data collection systems or electronic documentation
